I had no idea what was in store for me this season. This is the first time I’ve been a part of a true team sport, and there’s someone else counting on you. You can’t let that person down, and that’s what drives me.

It’s all about understanding that God is behind every performance, good or bad, and that trusting Him will always leave you satisfied.

The first world (best) is exciting, especially when it comes as a surprise. Sometimes you get on the track and you know that you've been running close to a world record and then it doesn't happen. Today is like an extra blessing and it was a really nice thing to happen.

I had a great time and those kids gave me a real feel for the Russian community and what it's like to be here. The kids were very genuine and well educated and there was a nice enthusiasm throughout the room. It was a wonderful opportunity.

I just wanted to be me. I feel this brings out my personality.

In college, you just thought about having fun. Now you have to think about making money and putting food on the table. It's become more of a job.

It's my way of acknowledging those less fortunate who have suffered through the devastation of the hurricane season this summer.
